Disclaimer- Serebii37- Sorry, but I don't own Kirby, Ribbon, or any other of the characters in the fanfic. {'Cept for Ribbon's little brother, Scissors, [Hey, that's the best I came up with for a 'Kirby' name.] and the guards and executioner} They all belong to the great Masahiro Sakurai, who is the creator of Kirby. I also don't own the song, 'Thank You', who belongs to whoever made it.

'Where are you?' Thought Ribbon in her prison cell. It had been nearly a month now. Kirby and his friends still aren't back. Were they stuck on another planet? Did they get lost? ...Will they ever come back? All these questions filled inside Ribbon's head. "Hey you, pipe down down there!!!" Cried the guard. "Alright, alright!!!" Cried Ribbon. "I'll be quiet!!!"
**My tea's gone cold, I'm wondering why I got out of bed at all
The morning rain clouds up my window and I can't see at all**
Ribbon flew up to the dungeon window, and looked out at the world. Everything was covered up with a black fog, also known as Dark Matter. Yes Ripple Star may have the Crystal back, but the queen has been acting strange lately, and been setting up evil acts for the planet's people. Now the queen had brought Dark and Miracle Matter back to life with her magic, and put Ribbon to prison to prevent her from escaping to warn Kirby and the others. Kirby was out collecting the remaining crystal shards with his friends Waddle Dee, Adeleine, and King Dedede. Yes, after all the pieces for the Crystal are found, peace should be completely restored.
**And even if I could it'll all be gray, but your picture on my wall
It reminds me that it's not so bad, it's not so bad...**
"Time for my work, kid." Said a mysterious voice. The guard nodded, grabbed Ribbon out of the dungeon, and chained her. The mysterious being took her, and walked off. He was gigantic, and covered in spiky armor, and was holding a huge deadly sharp axe. 'He must be the executioner, ready to chop off my head.' Ribbon thought sadly. She wished her little brother, Scissors, was there to comfort her in her cell. They loved each other, and placed nicely when they were little kids. It all ended however, when Scissors wandered off one day when they were playing, and was killed by a Waddle Doo. Ribbon still cried when she thought about it, and knew soon it will be her own death now when she saw the torture room, and no one there to rescue her.
**I drank too much last night, got bills to pay; my head just feels in pain
I missed the bus and there'll be hell today, I'm late for work again**
The executioner placed Ribbon's head on the open gap in the wood. He raised his axe, prepared to strike. 'It's all over...' Thought Ribbon. She then saw images of Scissors pop in her head again. Then Waddle Dee, Adeleine, King Dedede, finally Kirby. She didn't know why, but she had a crush on Kirby recently. He just reminded her of her little brother so much. Kind, caring, smart, sometimes silly... 'Everyone, I miss you already...' Ribbon thought again. 'You were always so kind and caring to others. I get to see my brother up in Heaven now. Thanks for being with me on Earth, and good bye...'
**And even if I'm there, they'll all imply that I might not last the day
and then you call me, and it's not so bad, it's not so bad and**
***I want to thank you for giving me the best day of my life
Oh just to be with you is having the best day of my life...***
Ribbon closed her eyes, and prepared to feel the severely sharp pain on her neck. But just before the executioner could charge the axe, there was a screaming and a strange vacuum-like sound, then complete silence. "Whew, that was a close one!" A familiar voice said. '...Kirby?' Ribbon thought. She turned around, and there he was! King Dedede and was holding back the last of the guards with his hammer, and Adeleine was painting a key to set her free. "It's okay, now." She said as she picked up the newly drawn key from the floor, and freed Ribbon from her chains. "This way!" Waddle Dee cried pointing to the castle door. "Right!" Everyone nodded as they quickly ran with Waddle Dee to the entrance of the castle. More guards started to run after them. But everyone managed to escape, and the guards lost them.
**Push the door, I'm home at last, and I'm soaking through and through
Then you handed me a towel and all I see is you**
"That was close!" Exclaimed Kirby. He turned to Ribbon. "Are you alright? I'm sorry we took so long. Our star ship broke down, and we had to take a long while to fix it." "That's okay," Replied Ribbon. "You and your friends arrived just in the nick of time!" Everyone chuckled a little bit. "Thanks for saving me too," Ribbon said. "Huh?" The crystal started to glow, and felt the presence of the last pieces. It sucked them onto itself, and began shine a bright light. "We did it..." Kirby whispered to everyone. Dark Matter began to disappear from Ripple Star again... but was it really permanent this time?
**And even if my house falls down now, I wouldn't have a clue
Because you're near me and**

Author's Notes- As for what happens after Dark Matter leaves, you know the rest. The Crystal attacks the queen, the heroes go to Dark Star, they fight O2, blah blah blah blah blah. I had a really crummy last two days, and writing this made me feel better a bit. I'm quite proud of my fanfic, and it's been awhile since I had something up. ^_^

ch 1, signed You're right, this is a cute fic. I didn't see too much angst, but the plot was good. As for the characters, I assume these are either Dreamland 2 or the N64 game. It was a nice shortie, worth if someone wants to not get too depressed, but have an uplifted mood. It's somewhat dark at the beginning, finishing with light. Some of the scenes are satisfying (King Dedede working with them, etc.) Others are strange.....what exactly is Ribbon? Is she an animal of sorts? Or is she like Waddle Dee, Waddle Doo, that don't have any necks? Good read.
