Vague Connection
I'm still waiting for FicWad to upload the "Sonic the Hedgehog" section at the Games catagory. I sent a request yesterday complete with a cast of characters, and I'm impatiiiiiiiient... come on, the response will be hilareous. Peoples: Yay, Sonic section! :D ...OMG Sonadow EWWW!!11 and I congratulate myself and sip from my wine glass.
And uh, I wrote a 15-Minute-Ficlet after forever. ^^;; *singing* Feelings are so vague... *BRICK* Actual current music makes me think of what happened at the ARK 50 years ago or something. *shrug*
Title: Vague Connection
Author: Jigglypuff in Blue Ribbons
Fandom: Sonic Adventure 2
Genre: 15-Minute-Ficlet/Drama
Rating: G.
Warnings: Very, very, very confusing.
Finished: Yes
Word: Inside
Shadow blinked confusedly in the darkness, the silhouette shining like it were light, the figure stepping toward him. He looked familiar… in fact, he was familiar. He only saw him a few times, but he known him all his life—since birth, even. Correction: creation.
“Shadow… how are you? They’ve hurt you, haven’t they?”
How was he to know? He’d been lying dazedly behind this glass coffin for quite some time…
“They won’t hurt you anymore… you’re beyond them. You’ll live—I’ll assure you that.”
A glint from the professor’s glasses. And Shadow saw no more of his creator.
It was some time he woke up after that. No, not some time. Correction: 50 years. Everything that happened, it was a blur to him—or maybe he was running too fast. But the way the girl’s lips moved… her name was Maria, wasn’t it? They spoke, but uttered nothing—it was like a silent movie to him.
Shadow remembered something the professor said once. That every memory you ever collected, it was stored in your unconscious for the rest of your life. You never truly forgotten anything—everything moved to the back of your head, that was all. Deep inside you.
Technology was a beautiful thing: come inside. Become a shell. A silhouette.
Shadow clung carefully to those silent words Maria said—he’d hear them. One day.
