Puri's alive. *pats creative journal* Sheesh, and to think I used to pump this thing with useless drabbles/ficlets... well, there's no way this journal's gonna die. It's my creative journal, gosh darnit! And after being blocked since who knows how long, well...

I finally did a drabble. *nod* I have a lot of catching up to do!

Dr. Eggman hated Sonic. He loathed the blue hedgehog, and the thought of building even a robotic version made him sick. Yet his eyes gleamed at the thought of his latest machine, excitement brimming the doctor's spectacles as he mapped everything out and eventually awakened him. Finally, an equivalent. Someone to match Sonic's speed, only better.

Metal Sonic was perfect. Loyal, strong, clever, and so much like his breathing azure rival in many ways. Perhaps… like others, he thought of himself. His train of thinking deviating from Sonic and Robotnik's, an ominous end for both enemy and doctor…

"Master?"
"…Nothing."

This looks like a beautiful puzzle piece :^D You just gotta plug it in a larger picture, ya know? n.n This drabble felt sorta like a comparison rather than a story (in this case between Sonic and Metal Sonic), but it's kinda unfair to criticize a drabble, ya know? I hope you don't take it the wrong way n.n

*nod* I noticed that funky pattern with my drabbles/ficlets--like something seemed to be missing, you know? I tend to write them as scenes in my head--future ideas for bigger stuff, maybe? Maybe that's why I like writing longer stuff better.

But, I gotta say this was one of the better drabbles I've done in a while, and I'm glad you think that way. :) I like getting a mysterious atmosphere for my stuff. ^^
