Between a trigger-happy hedgehog, a timid rabbit and her Chao, a spastic bee and a floating eyeball, it was a wonder the elevator hadn't exploded in red yet.
"Eggman promised me he would give me money so I could afford those seeds at the Chao Black Market..."
"Chao..."
"Guys, have you seen the Chaotix quarters? If I don't get back home soon, Vector's not gonna let me go outside again!"
"How far were you...?" Shadow raised an eyebrow.
"Floating Island!" Charmy chirped. "Vector gets worried when I go too far though. Once when he found me, he was all sweaty and he hugged me SO hard I thought I'd be squished! I wanna get home so Vector doesn't get sad."
"What are you here for, Shadow?" Cream questioned.
"Eh? Me?"
A nod. The black hedgehog closed his eyes, the trigger steadied in his finger.
"Agent business." He replied. "In case Eggman does anything fishy around here."
Doom's Eye muttered, reducing himself to a half-closed slit as he held a broom in one tentacle, and balanced a silver platter on the other. The rest of himself was coiled with cleaning supplies, and he swore the black hedgehog sneaked a smirk at his appearance with the white frilly apron...
Someday, I will be out of this lowly class... this human's stronghold shall be mine, and the revival of the Black Arms will prevail!
"Cover your ears."
BAM!
There was a shriek from the rabbit and bee, and the elevator collapsed, in front of a surprised Eggman who was enjoying a sip of a pleasant martini.
"Wh--What are you guys doing here!?"
Gun still pointing in the air, Shadow glared lethally, but triumphantly to the doctor--he lowered it before his face, giving a click as Eggman backed in fright.
"Now, do I have to give you another warning shot?"
