Friends With Benefits
Wow, my grammar is the most horrible thing in the world. XD Anyway, wrote this for an RP comm under a sockpuppet, and now, I get to share it with the rest of you because I'm evil like that. ANNNNNNNNNNNNND I want to put something Earthbound in my creative journal! XDDDD
So, behold bizarre and awkwardly composed Jeff/Tony fluff. Lemme alone, my Dad's been working on taxes, the new Potter book came, of course I'm stressed. D: Now go read my writing and squeal, I know it's not the best, but ENJOY IT ANYWAY. *cough* XD I'll post something better, really. On with the ficlet!

Giygas was defeated, allowing Jeff for the first time in a long while to get a good night's sleep. (Pulling all-nighters to finish inventions often left him cranky the following morning and made it difficult for him to concentrate). But now he lay over his bed, not at all tired, staring at the ceiling as he listened to the type-type-typing of his roommate Tony on the computer. But was it really over?
He took a book out and tried to read, but his thoughts quickly clouded him. Of course, the cookies he took from Tony's birthday...
"Oh no..."
Jeff sat up, following a mortified Tony as he stared wide-eyed and jaw dropped at the screen.
"Is something wrong?"
"Oh! Jeff! Nothing." the boy sighed, adjusting his black hat. "Just got spoiled on the ending for Mother 3, that's all."
It was Jeff's turn to stare.
"Oh! I'm sorry Jeff! That was something else!"
"Ah-Okay."
The blond wiped his glasses and walked to the window, seeing the lake and his father's laboratory in the Winters landscape. How are they now...?
"Do you miss them?"
Jeff turned around, Tony watching him as he logged off his sessions and waited for the computer to shut down.
"You mean--?"
"Your friends, right? The ones you went off to save?"
"Y-Yeah..."
Tony didn't say anything. Finally, he said,
"I'm happy for you Jeff. They're safe now, and none of you are alone."
Jeff didn't turn from Tony's eyes; full of sadness, but happy and proud without a sign of remorse. A small smile curled, and he blushed as Jeff put a hand on his cheek.
"You were the first to believe in me, you know?"
"No..." Tony shook his head. "I just wanted a friend, and I admired you and--"
He was hushed with the brief encounter of warm lips over his--Tony was still, staring into space as skinny arms held him close. Without further hesitation, he embraced him back, burying his face in Jeff's shoulder after they seperated.
"I... I love you Jeff."
"I know... I know."

One thing that hadn't changed since the fight with Giygas was his shyness--Jeff was beet-red once Tony undid the first buttons of his uniform, tugging his black ribbon as it hung loosely from his blouse. His roommate tossed his hat aside, red hair smooth and combed. As he opened his shirt, Tony leaned forward for a kiss, startling Jeff but submitting nonetheless. His ears were bright red when his shirt collapsed from his shoulders, and he struggled awkwardly to help Tony out of his clothes. The red-head leaned over the blond in the bed, hand reveling in his freckled face before fingers caught and pulled away his glasses--Jeff hesitated about this, but was again stopped by the gentle touch of Tony's lips, and the glasses were set atop a nearby drawer, where exploring limbs couldn't reach.

Dawn cracked over Winters, and Jeff blinked in the darkness of his blurry room. Tony was perched above, asleep embracing him. The blond sunk in his bed, listening to his breath as his roommate's warmth coated him in their glow. Closing his eyes, a rare smile formed, as a feeling he hadn't felt in a long time overwhelmed him: peace.
There was a dramatic crash of footsteps, causing Jeff to lift his head.
"Cameraman here! Get ready to make some memories!"
"No...! Wait--!"
"Everybody say, 'Fuzzy Pickles!'"

Needless to say, Jeff Andonuts made sure the photo never got to anyone--ESPECIALLY Ness.
