The Beanbean prince lifted his head upon hearing the knocks on his door. It’s certainly been a while since he and Luigi had seen each other—heck, he even invited him to his castle, it’s been that long. He was awake all this time… the yellow-haired one just couldn’t bring himself to sleep tonight. So he’d sit by the window, looking out into the night… just thinking of him.
Luigi was unlike anyone he had met before. Sure, Peasley had plenty of admirers… but something about the green-clad plumber was different. Was it that blush that was always brought upon his shy face? He didn’t know… but either way, the prince felt a warm connection to him, someway.
And what do you know, here he comes right now.
“…Peasley? You’re still awake?”
“But of course… come on in!” With the flip of his hair, the room lit like fairy-dust.
“All right then…”
Green pajamas—light sea green, at that. No hat this time around… it had been put away for the night. His slippers barely signaled their existence, each step a light rustle on the floor… soon, he too was near the window. Luigi and Peasley alone… no one else there—in the room, under the window, under the starry sky.
“You see, I… I wanted to talk to you about something. Since it’s been a while and everything.”
“I know…”
Luigi sat next to him and lain his head against his shoulder, holding his arm for support. Peasley smiled in understanding—he closed his eyes, petting the shy man’s back.
“Welcome back, Luigi Mario.”
