"We're watching a movie."
"…Why?"
"Well, who came to me cowering over your brother's broken tennis racket, huh? And I'm sure you don't want your butt clobbered in Mario Party, per usual."
"Humph... couldn't we just go to a regular theater then, over some dumb old—"
"—And is there anything wrong with watching a movie at home? It's better than turning your little accident in to Wario…"
"Rrrgh… you're right. Throw whatever you've got at me."
Waluigi sighed, looking upon Princess Daisy's widescreen T.V. as nothing extravagant, if rather a threat. If the yellow coach wasn't enough to make his stomach churn, the floral daisy pillows were his only source of comfort as of now. He hugged the orange one desperately, clung to it like it were a cinnamon teddy bear. The purple roguester writhed on the couch like a pathetic dying bug, and stretched out like he were a spider swatted on the window—this was definitely not his day today.
Waluigi remembered a time when he and his brother would go movie-hopping. No wait… that was rather new, actually. It was why they rarely went to the theater, mainly because they'd see everything that was there in one night. They'd buy a ticket to an interesting movie, and if it happened to suck, they went to another one. And when the movie was over, they'd sneak into another one—Wario enjoyed picking pennies from the floor and such, and liked putting gum in people's seats and all those pranks. It was like changing the channel in a way—the theater was their T.V., and the Wario Bros. were the remote controls.
“Hey Waluigi?”
The purple one sighed, turning around and wanting to die. Yet, the sniff of popcorn crept under his crooked nose, hot and buttery. He nervously clicked his tongue behind sealed teeth, praying the extra salt was for his taste-buds and not his wounds. So Daisy returned, surprising him with the bowl of white and yellow puffs casually plopped in his lap.
“My specialty,” she grinned. “And because I’m nicer than your brother, I’ll let you pick the movie. …As long as it’s something I like, of course.”
Waluigi stared at the floral-wearing princess, then nodded, feeling more pleased with himself. Maybe this wouldn’t be so bad after all…
The familiar wily grin lit the violet devil’s face again, his gloved finger tracing the names of movies as he went.
As long as he never finds that racket. It’s our little secret, princess…
Not often I write Waluigi, eh? He was interesting to do, I tell you. XD I remember doing the beginning in my notebook a long time ago and a little more on the computer, and I everytime I passed by it, I wanted to finish it. So voila. :) Writing this was pretty damn fun, too. ;D I liked this one. ^-^
