alexi_serenitia gave me a request for "Shadow, Sonic and an Eevee", I knew this was gonna be fun. XDD;;; Alas, I can't say Eevee really has much of a role, which bites. T-T But damn, can you see the Palletshipping and Sonadow connections here? I'd SO die of happy having a Raichu named Sonic and an Umbreon named Shadow, then teaming 'em up together in 2-Pokémon matches. X3333~! Annnnnnnnd shutting up. You know what makes this more ironic? Sonic and Shadow glared across from another, fists clenched in determination. They sat at different ends of the table, an indigo cord their means of communication. Lo and behold, their Gameboy Colors lain between their hands, one scarlet and the other sky--the owner of the latter frowned, then snickered upon meeting his rival in the Battle Room.
"Let me guess--ALL your Pokémon are named Maria."
"Actually, I have a Marowak named Amy. I was going to have a Raichu with your name, but... now I think I'll reconsider. What do you say to a Magikarp holding an Everstone?"
"Hehe... that's pretty clever there, Shad."
"We'll see who's clever after the match."
One could describe a Pokémon battle between the Blue Blur and Ultimate Life-Form as six Mewtwos and six Mews pitted against the other; either way it was one of those things where the two hedgehogs couldn't tie consistently.
Sonic sighed, as the sixth message rang across the screen that one of his Pokémon fainted.
"Pay up." Shadow grinned. Their individual Ashes were back in the Pokécenter, with Sonic wandering over to his PC.
"I don't get it," Sonic started, pressing different Gameboy commands. "I mean, you don't like video games as much as I do, and I tend to get more leisure time here and there, but... geez. Knuckles never plays games, and he still beat me at Smash Bros.!"
"It's simple--you suck." Shadow, while waiting, was also at the PC. "The complete mechanics of this game are not out in the open, and it takes more than leveling your Pokémon to a hundred to beat me."
"So Shadow, you're saying you like Pokémon?"
"No, I'm saying it's more complex than it looks. Do you think about your Pokémon's stats, Sonic? Did you think about IV points? EV points? Vitamins don't do just nothing."
"Wait--what?" Sonic blinked. "Okay, now I really don't understand what you're talkin' about..."
"We call it the Internet," Shadow stated in a nonchalant manner. "Okay, I'm ready."
The two trainers made negotiations, and "Gary" had been left with his last Pokémon.
"Congrats on the Pokédex, Shadow."
"Thanks." The 5th Eevee became accessible, and it was a matter of bonding before the final evolution... and the certificate.

Two weeks later, Sonic the Hedgehog introduced his new Pokémon team.
"WHAT!? You--You named--!?"
"Well, Clefairies ARE aliens, aren't they?"
