"You want to afford that diamond Chao Necklace, right?"
"WE'RE ROBBING A BANK. I'm not going to be accused of being a shoplifter!"
"Precisely. Amy, there is a LOT of money in the world. It's being printed everyday. There's a million dollars, and one Chao Diamond necklace in existance. Would you rather have the necklace or the money?"
"Shadow, I do have to question your conscience sometimes. Your idea of making a little girl happy was blowing up half the moon and terriorzing everyone on Earth!"
The black hedgehog, holding his bag of goodies, sighed. "I only do the most that I can for those I care about. By the way..."
The pair were at a fair enough distance, and the dark one placed a black velvet box in the palm of Amy's free hand.
"Don't open it until we're safe home, okay? I didn't steal it either--I saved quite a bit of rings for that over the months."
Through her clothed mask, Amy watched Shadow in wonder--before long, the two were on the move again.
